Pendant 15 ans, Céline Chat voyage autour du monde pour surfer et peindre. De Madagascar au Mexique, du Maroc à l'île Maurice, de l'Indonésie à l'Australie, elle y découvre les cultures et le style de vie bohème qui nourriront et marqueront pour toujours son travail et sa vie personnelle. Ces peintures, sculptures et objets peints expriment ces sentiments, explorent la pluralité de notre société et célèbrent son esthétisme dans un univers joyeux et riche en couleurs. Céline a finalement choisi de s’installer en Guadeloupe après avoir découvert la beauté de notre île. Elle y a trouvé la sérénité et l’inspiration nécessaire à l’evolution de son travail.
For the past 15 years Céline Chat has travelled the world surfing and painting, she has discovered many countries such Madagascar, Mexico, Australia and Indonesia to name a few. On her travels the artist discovered a whole host of new and exciting cultures along with a bohemian lifestyle. This has had a huge influence on her artwork as well as her personal life. The artists paintings and sculptures clearly reflect her sentiments on the world. Looking at the diversity of our society, she manages to celebrate its beauty through her joyful and colourful artwork. After many years of exploring the artist discovered the beautiful island of Guadeloupe, where she now calls home. She found the serenity and inspiration needed for the evolution of her work.
